Reams Asset Management manages fixed income assets for a broad group of institutional clients. We manage core plus, core, intermediate, long duration, low duration, ultra low duration, and unconstrained fixed income accounts. Our clients include corporations, public pension funds, multi-employer plans, healthcare organizations, universities, endowments, and foundations.
Reams’ moderate size and focus on client service enables us to provide clients with a high level of customized service. Direct access to our investment staff is a distinctive aspect of the Reams approach.
Firm History
Reams Asset Management was established in 1981 as an independent, employee-owned investment management firm headquartered in Columbus, Indiana. Since the firm’s inception, Reams has focused on the management of core plus fixed income portfolios for institutional clients. At the request of Reams’ clients, Reams added the intermediate fixed income product in 1989, core in 1992, unconstrained in 1998, low duration and long duration in 2002, TIPS-only in 2004, and ultra low duration in 2015. Reams’ portfolio management team continues to manage portfolios utilizing the investment philosophy and process in place since our inception.
Reams is now headquartered in Indianapolis and is a division of Scout Investments, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raymond James Investment Management, which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raymond James Financial.
