Reams Asset Management was established in 1981 as an independent, employee-owned investment management firm. Since the firm's inception, Reams has managed domestic fixed income portfolios for institutional clients.

Scout Investments, a subsidiary of UMB Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: UMBF), completed its acquisition of Reams Asset Management Company on November 30, 2010. Reams will operate as a division of Scout Investments and remain headquartered in Columbus, Indiana. The firm's leadership team will continue to manage the business in their current roles and provide the fixed income solution for Scout. The investment process and philosophy guiding the existing strategies will also remain unchanged.
